Using carefully chosen colours and fabric I wish to create elegant and unusual fashion accessories and home furnishings that, although quite different, complement one another. My inspiration comes from all sorts of things and places, usually ideas collected from my travels. A bird market in Asia, the beautifully decorated elegant front of a chocolate shop down the cobbled streets of Rome. My nudes are inspired by my love of life drawing, and my accessories and embroideries incorporating pictures of delicate shoes and brilliant chandeliers from my fascination with sparkle and light.
I try to create pictures, rather than patterns upon the cushions using space and colour to create something balanced, yet unpredictable. The idea is to wear these pictures or throw art on sofas and chairs, rather than just hanging it on walls.
